Our client has an immediate 12 month+ contract opportunity with our direct client in Albany, NY for a Technical Infrastructure Project Manager. This position requires someone that can work onsite at the client 2-3 days a week. Ideal candidates will have technical PM experience in all aspects of infrastructure - including data center migration/consolidation, implementations and upgrades of MS tech stack/okta etc. type core IT applications. Experience in security and networking engineering from a technical program management perspective is also nice to have. They will be taking over projects currently managed by an MSP vendor that the client would like to have driven to be a completion by a true strong contractor and then end the MSP dependency.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8–10 years of project management experience, with at least 5 years focused on IT infrastructure projects.
Technical Expertise:
- Strong understanding of infrastructure components, including cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, storage, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks, cybersecurity standards, and disaster recovery planning.
- Project Management Tools: Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Project, JIRA, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
Preferred Certifications:
- PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications preferred; technical certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNA/CCNP, or ITIL are a plus.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
